Calvert Bridal Expo 2013

We had a wonderful time participating in the 2013 Calvert Bridal Expo on March 4th at the Hall at Huntingtown!  We designed a beautiful tablescape featuring flower arrangements on logs, which were created by our floral design service, Stems by Serendipity.  Later during the expo we produced a runway show featuring a sampling of bridal gowns available at Serendipity, as well as several of our tuxedo rentals available.  We had a great time meeting new brides and we are looking forward to helping many more in the future!  We have already had many of our new brides from this Expo in the store selecting wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, tuxedos and doing floral and event design!  

2013 Prom!

Prom season is here and we have a great selection of gorgeous dresses to share with you!  Flirt by Maggie Sottero, Tony Bowls, and Sherri Hill are three of the amazing designers we carry for Prom and each of their 2013 collections are stunning with stand out dresses!  Below you will see a small sampling from each designer with a glimpse of the current collections.  Please keep in mind we only sell one dress per school...so don't wait to get your favorite gown! 

We also have many outstanding gowns that are discontinued, which will be at a reduced price point.  We look forward to assisting you in finding your perfect dress to make you shine and feel beautiful at your prom!
We can also help coordinate your date's tuxedo with our stylish and well-priced tuxedo rentals.

Emerald-2013 Pantone Color of the Year!

The color of the year for 2013 is...Emerald!  Each year Pantone forecasts a specific color that will inspire the event, beauty and fashion industries.   We are excited to see the trends that will be influenced by the brilliant shade of Emerald.  Pantone describes the color as "Lively. Radiant. Lush...A color of elegance and beauty that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony."  Emerald could be brought into the design with subtle touches, through accessories, such as shoes, ties, clutches and details such as stemware and linens.  For more impact, up-lighting, table decor and flowers can be incorporated.  We are excited to design upcoming events and weddings for brides with this lively, radiant and rich color!

Winter Wedding Inspirations

Tis the Season, Red and Green Wedding Inspiration

Tis the season for winter weddings.  The most symbolic colors of the holiday season are red and green. This color combination can be fun and festive without giving the full holiday effect.  The bold accents of red mixed in with the lush soft green gives off an elegant vibe.  When using these colors together its important to look at your overall vision.  Do you want more red with pops of green or green with a few pops of red.  Either way you choose you are sure to have a bright and cheery show stopping look!

Perfectly Pink

Our bride Lindsey had the best personality and was a delight to assist!  Her vision for her special day was lush pink flowers with shabby chic accents and hints of toile.  The wedding was held at the lovely Swan Point Clubhouse where the ceremony took place by the amazing waterfront backdrop and then the guests moved inside to the ballroom for a "perfectly pink" reception!  We loved helping Lindsey find her gown as well, which was a beautiful lace gown with a fabulous floral and beaded belt...it took the form fitting silhouette to the next level!  Lindsey chose a stunning shade a pink for the bridesmaids dresses by Bari Jay that we made sure the roses matched!  I hope you enjoy the romantic, soft flowers and decor of Lindsey's beautiful wedding!  xoxo~Serendipity
