Enzoani Fashion Event

We had the pleasure of attending the Enzoani Fashion Event in Newport Beach, California in the middle of July. It was so nice to escape to the cooler breezes of Orange County, while DC was experiencing a heat wave! Enzoani is one of the top designers in the bridal industry and the designer of Enzoani does a beautiful job of creating dresses that are breathtaking and full of details. We were so pleased to be invited to attend the launch of Enzoani's 2012 collections and be among the first to view the new lines. While in Orange County, Enzoani did a superb job of pampering us and giving us an incredible week of relaxing, networking and of course shopping! Here are a few pictures of the fabulous events and runway shows!

Enzoani launched their brand new prom line, Love 16, at this year's event. We are excited to announce that we will be carrying this line for the upcoming Prom season! Here is a preview of some of the designs!

Here we are with the designer of Enzoani! Thanks for a wonderful event...looking forward to next year!!

Fun Fillers!

Fun Fillers!
Floral designers are always coming up with new design ideas. Whether it’s a unique container or a fun filler there are many ways to add color and texture to floral design.
This past weekend I got creative with strawberry marshmallows for a baby shower centerpiece. I chose jumbo green hydrangeas with soft pink tips . I wanted something fun in the container to bring out the pink tips of the hydrangeas. My first thought was some sort of pink candy, but then I remembered the sticky mess I made when using lemon heads floating in water for a flower arrangement. Bad Idea... My next thought was pink cereal. Sadly they no longer make Franken Berry Crunch or Strawberry Shortcake Cereal which would have given me perfect little pink balls for my centerpiece. Fruit loops and Fruity Pebbles also have pink, but I was not about to sift through boxes of cereal to pull out all the pink pieces.
Who has time for that? During a recent trip to the grocery store I stumbled across these plump, perfectly pink, strawberry marshmallows. I put the hydrangea in a floral pick and tucked it down in the marshmallow filled jars. Voila! They were adorable and super simple.

Using fruit or some other food product as a filler in floral design to save money is a big misconception. Fruit can be expensive and buying whatever filler it is in bulk to fill your containers often takes a lot more than you think! Price it out and make sure it’s worth it.
Here are a few other Fun Fillers I found.

Caribbean Dream'n

Did someone say “Destination Wedding”? Oh please let us be on the guest list !! Have you ever dreamt of a breezy island wedding in the Caribbean ? Picture it… a soft, flowing chiffon gown with windswept hair. Guests clad in linen with bare feet and sunglasses. Brightly colored flowers to compliment the pristine blue waters and fruity rum drinks to quench your palette. We have put together an inspiration board to help with that Caribbean Dream’n!
The setting is the luxurious Ritz Carlton Resort, St. Thomas, USVI. These deep red hues are a great compliment to the beautiful blue waters of the Caribbean Ocean. Red Ginger is a fun tropical flower to incorporate in centerpieces along with Red Charm Peonies, Red Roses, and Hibiscus. How about a touch of white hydrangea to tie in the beautiful white Maggie Sottero destination gown. Footwear has to be easy, breezy and no one has cuter sandals than Jack Rogers. Tables will be draped in white with aqua overlays and runners. Bright red chiavari chairs with polka dot napkins keep it fun! Escort cards painted in red will help your guests find their seats. They will also appreciate the fabulous welcome bag in aqua jute with a red striped towel and flip flops. Doesn’t it sound dreamy ?
Destination weddings can be a wonderful and memorable way to celebrate your marriage. My bag is packed…. Who’s coming with me ?
