Bright and Cheery May Wedding!

The other couple we had the pleasure of working with for their May 12^th wedding were Cherry and Romano.  We were able to assist Cherry with the purchase of her beautiful lace bridal gown, her bridesmaid’s dresses, the mother’s dresses and all of the wedding ceremony and reception flowers.  The bride expressed her love of butterflies, calla lilies and the shades of green and yellow, which we combined and tied with a pretty bow to give her the beautiful reception flowers you will see below!  The reception took place at the wonderful venue, Herrington on the Bay.  It was a lovely day filled with sunshine…the perfect day for these cheery and bright flowers!

The Hunt Is Over

The weekend of May 12^th was a busy weekend at Serendipity Bridal and Events.  In addition to the many brides who we helped find their dream dress for this weekend, we also designed, decorated and did flowers for two weddings.  The first couple had their wedding in Mechanicsville, MD.  The groom is an avid hunter and we wanted to incorporate his love for hunting with his love for his Bride.  Heather and Ronnie, the bride and groom, were a delight to work with and really got involved in the planning to create an even better and more personal wedding.  We loved incorporating antlers, wooden boxes and real logs to inspire this “Into The Woods” wedding reception. 

Going Green!

I recently sat down with a bride who was seeking some help with her upcoming wedding. I observed her pretty green jacket accompanied by a green purse. As we discussed what she envisioned her wedding and reception to be, she took a phone call on her green phone, jotted down a note in her notebook, which was green, with her green pen! I began to see a trend and perhaps the direction we should go with design. Annmarie Garden in Calvert County, with it's crisp and energizing environment, was the perfect setting for our bride's gorgeous green wedding. 6th Annual Enzoani Fashion Event

We had a wonderful weekend in the beautiful Newport Beach, California where we previewed the 2013 Enzoani Collections.  The event began on Thursday, June 7th where we were greeted after our flight to a Welcome Lounge complete with manicures, massages and a great atmosphere.  On Friday, June 8th, we all dressed in our black and white "Old Hollywood" inspired fashions for a full day of parties, networking and dresses!  We were transported to a secret location, where the cocktail party, formal dinner, runway show and after party took place.  The secret location was the exquisite St. Regis Hotel.  The runway show debuted that evening and the gowns were simply stunning!  This event was especially important for Enzoani, as it marked the first year the Enzoani offices from across the globe joined us in the States.  We were among other bridal shop owners from Africa, Europe and the United Kingdom.  It was a fabulous weekend and we are looking forward to next year.  Be looking for the 2013 Enzoani and Blue by Enzoani dresses in our store!

In The Cooler With Stems-April 28 Wedding

Stems by Serendipity is our floral design service.  The arrival of fresh flowers is like Christmas morning to us!  God's beautiful creation of flowers, with their amazing aromas and color variations, excite us every week as we anticipate their arrival.  How fun it is for us as we open the cardboard boxes and begin prepping the stems.  We thought you might enjoy seeing the garden of prepped flowers as they soak in water and the blooms open waiting to become part of a beautifully created bridal bouquet for our bride or a stunning centerpiece that takes center stage for a memorable affair.
